When will people realize that the guns aren't dangerous, but the people that commit crimes with them are?

I can't understand why people try to go through "back doors" to take away our gun rights.

Listen, if we could remove all guns from the world, and there was some mystical guarantee that no one would ever possess one again, then yes, it would be great. BUT, then people would revert to swords, knives, sticks, spears, rocks, etc, etc, etc. Face it--we will never eliminate all the guns in the world, and as long as guns exist, evil people will have them. And guess what--if they have a gun, and I don't, I'm in trouble. Serious trouble. There's a reason that people don't carry spears when guns are available. To put it simply--guns are better tools for fighting; you can engage an enemy from a greater distance, thus giving you the greater opportunity to preserve your life and the lives of those you are charged with protecting.

Guns, shooting, preparing emergency kits, and finding the brightest, smallest, longest-burntime flashlight are some of my favorite hobbies. I know, it sounds crazy, but in my free time, I love to go through my emergency kits (yes, I have several), browse Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, REI, etc, or read about firearms, and the way they legally SAVE lives through proper training, handling, and use.
